Founded in 2011, Dorr Capital has grown to a $2.257B total loan value real estate mortgage business. The company specializes in two key lines of business: commercial mortgages and development financing. Brian Dorr created Dorr Capital when he recognized a need in the market to help developers find creative solutions for borrowing, founded in honest, trustworthy partnerships. It is our goal to open the mortgage investment market to private investors and diversify their investment portfolio as an alternative to traditional stock and bond assets. Today, our highly experienced and accredited team are your partners in bespoke commercial mortgage financing and investing opportunities.

Brian DorrPresident and Chief Executive Officer
As founder of Dorr Capital and RealAlt® Investments, Brian sets the strategic vision for growth. With a unique long-term market perspective and an economic mindset, Brian has successfully grown the core business to over $2.2 Billion in loan volume.
Prior to creating Dorr Capital Corporation and RealAlt® investments, Mr. Dorr spent over 25 years, building his deep knowledge of real estate finance. He has worked for CMHC, Canada ICI, CDPQ, MCAP, Quest Capital, Infrastructure Ontario, and Cameron Stephens. His experience in underwriting, default management, and mortgage administration, along with a sophisticated network of relationships with lenders, investors, and borrowers has been a defining factor in the success of the 2 businesses.
He holds an MBA, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), maintains a Certified Property Management Designation (CPM), and is licensed by FSRA as a Mortgage Broker.
Riccardo PlatiExecutive Vice-President
Riccardo delivers real estate opportunities to Dorr Capital investors, lenders and borrowers. Riccardo has structured and underwritten over $1.3 billion in debt opportunities in both construction and income-generating properties across all major real estate asset classes. He has built his skills and knowledge in the real estate industry working in a mortgage investment corporation, pension fund, private developer, and Infrastructure Ontario in their affordable housing program. Riccardo holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University and is licensed by FSRA as a Mortgage Agent.
Judy WongSenior Vice President Underwriting and Loan Servicing
Judy has over 20 years of progressive commercial real estate lending experience and has been a member of Dorr Capital since its inception in 2011. She manages the underwriting and loan servicing of the mortgage portfolio of over $290MM. Judy has structured, underwritten and closed real estate investments across all asset classes.
Prior to joining Dorr Capital, Judy held progressive positions from various Toronto-based mortgage financing companies. She also underwrote and closed projects under the affordable housing program at a CMHC-approved financing institution.
Judy holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics specializing in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Waterloo. Judy is a licensed Mortgage Agent through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) and a registered Exempt Market Dealing Representative.
Tracey DorrSenior Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Tracey oversees all functions of marketing, business development, social media, and communication. She brings over 25 years of sales and marketing expertise to the Dorr Capital and RealAlt® teams. She is a strategic marketing leader with a track record of success in developing and executing effective marketing strategies, growing revenues, and overseeing talented teams. Tracey also brings a unique set of experiences. She is a 15-year sales and marketing veteran of Nestlé Canada, an organization known for developing some of the best marketers in Canada. Tracey holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Business and Nutrition from the University of Guelph. She was also a Registered Dietitian for 20 years. She is the owner of Edge Power skating, one of the largest power skating businesses in the Toronto area. Having achieved triple gold level, a couple of National synchronized skating titles and skating with Disney on Ice, all contributed to her Power skating business success.
Shezan MukadamChief Financial Officer
Shezan is a seasoned Finance manager with 10 years of experience in accounting, account reconciliations, cash flow management, and investment management including funds and financial statements; has experience in conducting training through advocacy and mentoring of fund accountants on an ongoing basis. He is responsible for all the financing and accounting performance and overall management of the finances. Prior to joining Dorr Capital, he worked for Kensington Capital Partners as the Finance and Operation Manager. Shezan is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Philadelphia University and an M.Com. from the University of Mumbai.
Peter FriedmannExternal Board Advisor
As an External Board Advisor; he supports in the areas of strategy, policy, risk, housing, market economics and financial markets.

Peter is a member of the Board of Directors for Trillium Housing, a non-profit developer of affordable homeownership housing, facilitated through a shared equity model. He is also Co-Chair of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Southwestern Ontario Chapter, which provides governance and management education for Boards and independent Directors. Previously, Peter served as a Director, and a member of the Audit Committee, Risk and Capital Committee, and Special Committee for an OSFI regulated TSX listed Trust Company.

Peter was a senior executive at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and a member of the Management Committee, the Human Resources Committee, the Pension Fund Investment Committee and the Asset and Liability Committee. Executive responsibilities included Securitization, Mortgage Insurance (issuance, marketing, default and real estate), affordable housing, social housing programs, federal/provincial housing, research, market analysis, and international programs. Key accomplishments included the establishment of the Mortgage Backed Securities and Canada Mortgage Bond programs, being Managing Director of Securitization through the financial crisis and providing liquidity relief through the Insured Mortgage Purchase facility, negotiating the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Programs, establishing the Housing Market Analysis profession and revamping the Surveys, and establishing the inaugural Healthy Housing Award program with the Builder community. Board and governance work included providing regular oversight, training, and guidance to more than 300 boards in the non-profit and cooperative housing sector, as well as regulatory liaison and policy setting for the securitization and mortgage insurance businesses.

He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors holding the ICD.D designation and the Canadian Securities Institute holding the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation. University education includes undergraduate (BA honours) and graduate (MA) degrees in Economics.

FAs founder of Dorr Capital and RealAlt® Investments, his primary functions are (1) managing the Dorr Capital non-bank lending services, with over $2.2 Billion in assets under manager, for land and new home construction in Ontario (2) managing the operations of RealAlt® Investments, a mortgage investment fund investing in medium sized developers building new communities in Ontario.

Prior to creating Dorr Capital Corporation and RealAlt® investments, Mr. Dorr spent over 25 years, building his deep knowledge of real estate finance. Riccardo delivers real estate opportunities to Dorr Capital investors, lenders and borrowers. Judy WongSenior Vice President Underwriting and Loan Servicing
She is responsible for managing and servicing Dorr Capital’s mortgage portfolio of over $105 million and underwrites and reviews investment proposals of all asset classes multi-residential construction loans. Judy has over 20 years of progressive real estate industry lending experience and has been a member of Dorr Capital since its inception in 2011. She has experience at CSMC and MCAP, where she developed her structuring, underwriting, and closing skills in multimillion-dollar accounts in all loan types. Judy holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics with a specialization in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Waterloo and is licensed by FSRA as a Mortgage Agent.
