Brian founded Dorr Capital in 2011. As the principal broker and leader in sales and origination, Brian ensures the daily operations of the company are met and approves all loan transactions prepared by his team.
For over 25 years, Brian has been pursuing his professional career in real estate finance. He started out at CMHC, then moved to Canada ICI, MCAP, Quest Capital and Cameron Stephens before establishing Dorr Capital. His experience in underwriting, default management, and mortgage administration, along with a sophisticated network of relationships with lenders, investors, and borrowers has been a defining factor to Dorr Capital’s success.
Brian holds an MBA from Niagara University in Lewiston, New York. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and maintains a Certified Property Management Designation (CPM).
Managing Partner and Broker
Robert has over 30 years of experience in real estate finance, working in New York, Montreal, Paris, and Toronto holding senior positions with large US and Canadian financial institutions and investment banks. He has structured and underwritten over $3 billion worth of real estate loans, property acquisitions and loan restructurings.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McGill University and is licensed by FSCO as a Mortgage Broker.
Managing Partner and Agent
Riccardo brings real estate opportunities to Dorr Capital investors, lenders and borrowers by developing unique structuring and financing terms for different projects.
Riccardo has built his skills and knowledge in the real estate industry working in a mortgage investment corporation, pension fund, private developer, and most recently Infrastructure Ontario in their affordable housing program. To date, Riccardo has structured and underwritten over $1.3 billion in debt opportunities in both construction and income generating properties across all major real estate asset classes.
Riccardo holds a BA from York University and is a licensed mortgage agent through the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
Vice President Equity Investments
David is responsible for sourcing capital and investment opportunities at Dorr Capital. He does this by using traditional methods such as directly looking for new investors, as well as using modern methods such as crowdfunding ventures. With his close attention to the strategies and ventures of real estate developers, David finds special financing opportunities perfect for Dorr Capital.
Being a chartered accountant with over 35 years of experience in the real estate industry, David brings a strong background of knowledge that is vital to developing the projects we close. He has held CFO and VP of Finance roles at large Toronto developer companies taking on projects such as Ritz Carlton Hotel and Condos in Toronto.
Vice President Underwriting and Loan Servicing and Agent
Judy is an integral member of Dorr Capital since its inception in 2011. She manages all the underwriting and loan servicing transactions at Dorr Capital and is responsible for the daily operations of her team.
With over 20 years of progressive commercial real estate experience, she has held key positions at various mortgage financing companies and mezzanine financing companies. Her industry experience includes structuring, underwriting and closing multi-million-dollar accounts in a broad array of assets and loan types.
Judy holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics Degree, specializing in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Waterloo, and is a licensed mortgage agent through the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
James joined Dorr Capital in 2017 as the Director of Underwriting. In his current role as Chief Financial Officer, James is responsible for managing the financial operations of Dorr Capital.
James started his career with a national accounting firm gaining experience through a variety of financial accounting, auditing and consulting engagements. He then moved into the insolvency practice area, where he expanded his experience into receiverships, bankruptcies and insurance investigations. James later joined Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in default management and real estate where he was involved in restructuring insured mortgage loans and the sale of multi-residential properties. Moving forwards to underwriting, he became a Principal Underwriter, responsible for multi-residential properties, retirement homes and condominium construction loans throughout Ontario.
James holds Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant designations from CPA Canada.
Senior Mortgage Analyst and Agent
Ting is a senior underwriter at Dorr Capital and she conducts detailed financial analytics for residential development projects. She has been working in the real estate industry for over 10 years. She has extensive experience in market research and financial analysis. Prior to joining Dorr Capital, she has worked for various types of organizations, including commercial real estate brokerage, retail company, boutique private equity firm, and a home builder in both China and Canada.
Ting holds a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Technology from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Nankai University in China. She is also a licensed mortgage agent through the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
Mortgage Analyst and Agent
Kristina has valuable experience in residential and commercial mortgage servicing and mortgage administration which are her primary responsibilities at Dorr Capital. Kristina’s role consists of maintaining investor relations and liaising with investors for transactions, preparing mortgage statements and invoices, administering the funding of multi-million-dollar accounts through The Mortgage Office, and corresponding with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).
Kristina holds a High Honours Diploma of International Business from Seneca College and is a licensed mortgage agent through FSCO.
Michael recently joined Dorr Capital as a mortgage analyst. Having completed his Master’s degree in Economics, he also functions as Dorr Capital’s in-house Economist. Prior to joining Dorr Capital, he worked for DREAM Office REIT.
Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa and an Honours Bachelor Degree in Economics and Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Angie maintains the daily office operations at Dorr Capital and ensures a professional and organized work environment for our team. She has over 15 years of administrative and accounting experience in office management, human resources, transportation, manufacturing, and sports entertainment industries.
